Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, the world's largest non-political independent farmers' movement, was founded in 1979. One crore farmers of India are members of this association of farmers led by farmers for farmers. BKS operates in all states, all districts and most villages of the country without being a subsidiary organization of any political party according to its own constitution. Bharatiya Kisan Sangh is committed to strengthening the agricultural base of the nation and ensuring the welfare of the farmer on the basis of Indian agricultural philosophy and with the help of modern science and technology. For that, B. has a plan of action through three levels of organization, creativity and struggle. K. S. has been expressed.
Committees are democratically elected from the village level to the All India level by recruiting members for a term of three years nationwide.
