On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, under the leadership of the Pazhayannur Block, organized a tree-planting drive in various panchayats, including Vallathol Nagar, Panjal, Chelakkara, Kondazhi, Pazhayannur, and Thiruvilwamala. Saplings of fruit-bearing trees were planted, and vegetable seeds were distributed.

The event was inaugurated by state committee member M.C. Vatsalakumari. Block president M.U. Krishnankutty presided over the function. K.P. Savitri, Ramachandran Nair, Prabhakaran Manjadi, Raghupati Swami, and R. Rajappan Nair also participated.
